About Focus Behavioral Health Services

This particular facility in Morganton in North Carolina is closed. But they have other centers in town that can assist you.
Day Treatment Addiction Services in Morganton
This site was known for its day treatment services for you or a young person you know had substance misuse or behavioral issues. The center partnered with local school systems and the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Schools to provide support for young people in education.
The goal here was to give young people the tools they need to avoid letting these struggles affect their education. You could expect this program to be extremely structured. There was a mix of educational and addiction treatment services to meet clients’ unique needs. I like how participants engaged in individual, group, and family sessions, as well as therapeutic activities like Equine Assisted Learning.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment for Young People
Outpatient addiction treatment was also an option and was tailored based on a thorough intake assessment. Clients had an initial session with a licensed clinician to work closely with them and their parents or guardian.
I noticed that clients had access to the same therapy services available in the Day Treatment program as well as psychiatric assessments and medication management services.
The center on Queen Street is closed but FOCUS has other facilities nearby to assist you.
