About Conewago Pottsville
Located on South Centre Street in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Firetree’s Conewago Pottsville provides inpatient addiction recovery services for men and women. It’s conveniently located in the downtown area, not far from Jerry’s Classic Cars & Collectibles and Yuengling Park. The residential facility has a license from the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol programs. Clients receive a holistic treatment approach that addresses their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.
The facility has 34 beds available and provides transportation to help clients get to the facility. The main treatment available at this facility is medically assisted treatment. Staff members will determine a dosage of medication to help you deal with withdrawal symptoms. As you reach the completion of your withdrawal, you’ll begin individual and group counseling services. Some of the different groups you may participate in include the substance abuse education group and the cognitive behavioral group.
One thing I like about this facility is that it helps you prepare for life after treatment through services such as resume creation and real time job search. The facility will also assist you with obtaining your birth certificate, social security cards and photo ID.
Some of the holistic therapies that you’ll have the opportunity to participate in are music and art therapy and gardening skills. These therapies provide you an outlet to manage your stress and have less of a desire to use substances.
Additionally, Conewago Pottsville provides nutrition training to help you get the nourishment you need to improve your mood and support your body’s healing process.
You can also smoke at the facility, but they allow you to bring unopened packs only. There’s also a tobacco recovery group and nicotine replacement therapies for clients who are quitting smoking.
