About Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. – Closed

Fellowship Health Resources’ North Carolina is a network that provides substance use disorder treatment including detoxification services. They had an outpatient clinic in Cary, North Carolina. It offered multiple outpatient programs but also emphasized aftercare and interim care support to ensure that participants were fully supported during and after completion of their substance abuse programs. The location is currently closed.

Cary is conveniently located near North Carolina’s Triangle region (Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Durham), which means you can access a wide array of natural spaces and activities in this bustling region from sporting events to museums, and cultural experiences. Fred G. Bond Metro Park and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve are not far away.

Detox in an Outpatient Setting

Not everyone can opt for an inpatient detox solution, which is why I think FHR’s outpatient program was so effective. Available with a range of monitored medications, this facility’s medication assisted treatment (MAT) program could be accessed in conjunction with the counseling portion of their outpatient services to help you begin your recovery journey.

Graduated Outpatient Support

Another key feature I appreciated about FHR is that you could choose between a traditional and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The IOP was beneficial for people just beginning their recoveries who needed more consistent guidance and skills building support to maintain sobriety.

Both programs provided a wide range of counseling solutions and included motivational interviewing, 12 Steps, trauma related counseling, matrix modeling and substance use counseling. For added convenience, counseling was available through telemedicine for more flexibility.

Aftercare and Extended Support

Aftercare is a critical component for sobriety, which is why Fellowship’s program included an emphasis on relapse prevention and support with accessing community resources to help you turn your life around. This included support with securing housing, transportation assistance to access counseling, and even social skills development to help you transition back into everyday life.

They have other locations in their network closeby. The Raleigh site is a little over 10 miles away. Fellowship accepts insurance, Medicare and Medicaid, TRICARE, funding from state and federal programs and grants, a sliding scale fee based on need.
