About Family Resource Lima Campus Serving Youth and Adults

The Family Resource Center has five locations in different Ohio counties, including the Family Resource Lima Campus Serving Youth and Adults in Lima, Ohio. They provide a range of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services for adults and adolescents. Services include a crisis hotline, counseling and school based services.

The Family Resource Center accepts multiple insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and private coverage. They also have a sliding fee scale for those who qualify.

Outpatient Individual and Group Support in Allen County

The Lima location is an open access center, meaning that you can stop in during certain hours of the day to do intake without an appointment. I was impressed with the variety of services available from the Lima Campus. They provide individual counseling and psychiatric support, including mental health medication. They also have a variety of therapy groups as well as peer support, and they focus on providing an accepting environment where everyone feels comfortable.

Education and School Based Services for All Ages

I also noticed that they have substance use education for both adults and adolescents. The teen programs are school based and include both group education classes and individual counseling services.

The group education classes at schools cover topics like health education, life skills, building confidence and working on social and emotional skills. They also teach youth about the impact of substance use.
