About Ernie Turner Center
Located on Bragaw Street, near East Northern Lights Blvd., west of Goose Lake Park, in Anchorage, Alaska, the Ernie Turner Center is a residential inpatient treatment center for adults, providing treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders in a private, home-like setting.
Ernie Turner Center’s 16-bed inpatient program lasts for six months and includes treatment sessions using cognitive-behavioral therapy, addiction and relapse prevention education and counseling, recovery focused life skills training, and evidence-based holistic therapies, including animal therapy. Alaska Native values and culture are infused into the programming. Case Management services and Aftercare services are offered following the six-month residency to assist residents in moving to outpatient treatment or sober living environments.
The Ernie Turner Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). They accept self-pay and private insurance.
