About English Mountain Recovery

English Mountain Recovery is a drug and alcohol rehab for adults in Sevierville, Tennessee. You’ll be treated at their vast campus in the Smoky Mountains where the natural beauty surrounding you will bring peace to your soul. Their recommended inpatient (IP) length of stay is 90 days to properly establish you in your recovery.

The housing and treatment are gender specific. As men and women experience addiction differently, being treated separately allows them to open up and speak about their challenges freely. They also have specific treatment tracks for those with addiction related mental health challenges, veterans and families.

As part of your recovery plan, you are likely to experience different kinds of addiction therapy. Some of the options are creative arts and equine interaction, both of which are used with great success. Your main method of treatment will be the 12 Steps model or SMART recovery. This involves techniques that train you to recognize and control your thoughts and emotions.

For downtime, you can swim in the pool, play volleyball or putt-putt, and go for long walks in nature. Being active gets your body moving, your blood pumping and releases natural feel good chemicals. Working on your physical health is so helpful for training your body to function without chemicals. The onsite labyrinth is used for therapy and recreation.

Many people who’ve been treated there described it as an amazing place where they found healing and recovery. Others say they felt welcome and became part of a family. Some said that there is no contact or follow up after you’ve completed the program.
