About Door To Hope

Door to Hope in Salinas, California, is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider. They work with infants, children, teens, adults and families in inpatient and outpatient settings. They also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) for addiction recovery. This organization is accredited by CARF and is a certified charitable organization.

Their MAT program is overseen by the medical director. This is offered to clients over 16 years old who are actively using opioids or at risk of developing a habit of opioid use. Clients are prescribed medications that manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. MAT is available in the residential program, the short-term residential program and in outpatient care.

The women's residential program, known as The Door, can accommodate 14 women in a cozy Tudor residence. They offer affordable three to six month programs. Residents work with mental health and addiction specialists, as well as get expert help with parenting, anger and emotion management and grief counseling.

Their Santa Lucia program is for girls between 12 and 18 who have a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder. This short-term residential program gives girls a chance to develop life skills to succeed in their lives. They attend classes in special schools in Monterey County.

Their outpatient program is for adults over 18 who have a substance use disorder and need outpatient treatment. Clients must either be able to self pay for treatment or have Medi-Cal or approved insurance. Clients have access to individual and family therapy, 12 Step facilitated groups, medical treatment and relapse prevention.
