About Door To Hope
Door to Hope is a drug and alcohol rehab and mental health care facility for youth and adults in Salinas, California. They provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) for adults in opioid recovery, short and long-term residential care for adult women, and co-educational outpatient care for adolescents and adults. Specialized programming is available for pregnant and postpartum women, parents, children, young adults, trauma survivors, justice-involved persons, and persons with co-occurring addiction and mental illness.
Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management. They also engage in intensive, trauma-informed individual, group, and family counseling drawing on proven modalities including motivational enhancement therapy (MET). The program promotes clients' sustained sobriety and successful reintegration into their home, school, workplace, and community through robust, gender and age-specific life skills training addressing topics such as coping, self-care, anger and stress management, wellness, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention.
Their aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include transitional support for clients stepping down from higher-intensity treatment, employment and housing assistance, vocational training, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs. Door to Hope is accredited by CARF. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and accept private insurance and self-pay. Financial aid is available contingent upon need and funding.
