About Divine Hope Counseling
Divine Hope Counseling is located in Willmar, Minnesota. The clinic offers outpatient addiction and mental health treatment, including treatment for co-occurring disorders. They can help adolescents and adults and have a speciality program for adults age 50 and older.
Divine Hope offers services in both English and Spanish and the office is even pet friendly! They don’t accept Medicare but may accept Medicaid and other private insurance.
Age Specific Care for Older Adults and Adolescents
I was impressed that they have two age-specific programs. One is for adolescents aged 13 and up. This program is coed and includes individual and group counseling. They also provide addiction education and activities designed to help reinforce new thinking patterns and habits.
They also have a program for adolescents with both mental health and substance use disorders. These programs can offer in-home or onsite treatment as well as treatment in the clinic.
Their program for older adults also caught my eye. In the older adult program for those age 50 and up, participants develop healthy coping skills for situations that might trigger substance use. Older adults face unique stressors such as loneliness, chronic pain and grief from losing family and friends.
The pace of the older adult program is also slower, which is helpful for those who take more time to think things through. There are specific groups for participants of this program, and if necessary, Divine Hope can provide in-home services.
