About Salt Lake City Comprehensive Treatment Center

Salt Lake City Comprehensive Treatment Center helps adults struggling with opioid use issues achieve and maintain sobriety. They’re an outpatient clinic specializing in medication assisted treatment (MAT). This technique uses counseling alongside meds approved by the FDA to address addictions.

Easy Access to Treatment and Downtown

The clinic is situated in a commercial area along 2100 South roughly three miles southeast of suburban Salt Lake City in Utah. Utah Transit Authority Bus Services Route 21 offers easy access to the clinic. Onsite parking is available for clients and visitors.

After one of your treatment sessions, you can take a ride downtown, where you can spend time at Pioneer Park or visit the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. If you ever feel like exploring the city during your healing journey here, Liberty Park is just 2 miles north. It’s one of Salt Lake City’s largest parks with many attractions.

Salt Lake City CTC focuses on treating the whole person instead of just the symptoms of opioid addiction. Here, you’re encouraged to take ownership of your recovery in collaboration with the care team. The first thing you’ll notice upon arrival is how they’ll put your mind at ease. They’ll take adequate time to understand your personality, your medical condition, and your history with opioids. This evaluation lays the groundwork for tailored or focused care that’ll best prepare you for sustained success.

Various Medications and Counseling to Support Your Needs

They can prescribe either buprenorphine, Suboxone or methadone, depending on your unique condition. These meds alleviate painful withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings. However, achieving recovery from opioid addiction goes beyond just easing the physical withdrawal symptoms. You’ll also need to work on the social, emotional, and behavioral sides of addiction and recovery. That’s where behavioral therapy or counseling comes in.

While medications will help the physical symptoms of your withdrawal, such as stomach aches and muscle pain, counseling is needed to address emotional symptoms, such as anxiety and depression. Some of the therapeutic approaches that your counselor may use include dialectical (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT can be effective at changing your negative thought patterns and developing your coping skills so that you’re less likely to relapse. DBT will teach you mindfulness as a means to regulate your emotions. Your counselor will work together with you to establish a treatment plan with goals that will help you achieve recovery.

Salt Lake City CTC accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and coverages provided through Veterans Affairs. They accept commercial insurance and you can pay out of pocket as well. They even support same day admission and 24/7 appointment scheduling to eliminate wait time.
