About Deerfield Behavioral Health Bradford
Deerfield Behavioral Health is in Warren, Pennsylvania. It’s a center for mental and behavioral health services, including addiction treatment. Support is available to clients of all ages, and blends diagnostic and therapeutic measures to create positive changes in the lives of children, young people, and adults.
Since 1993, the center’s licensed outpatient addiction treatment program has been providing much-needed care to individuals struggling with substance misuse. Clients go through initial assessments to evaluate the most appropriate level of care for their needs. Intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programs are available.
IOP offers a structured group experience for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Individuals on this program meet three days per week, for up to 9.5 hours in total. Evening sessions are also available to accommodate participants’ work and study schedules.
Meanwhile, standard outpatient care sees clients meetings with addiction counselors for one-on-one sessions on a weekly basis. These individual sessions are often also supplemented by specialized group therapy, too. If you like to unwind in the great outdoors, Crescent Park and the Allegheny River are practically next door.
Clients can access medication-assisted treatment (MAT) regardless of their level of care. Specialized technicians and nursing staff work closely with participants and prescribers to support self-management of their medications. MAT is offered alongside regular addiction and behavioral therapy, with the meds prescribed helping to reduce clients’ risk of relapse, while helping them manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
Clients here can also attend support groups, with meetings for things like Wellness Group, Early Recovery Group, and a Domestic Violence Education Group taking place weekly. Peer support specialists are also on hand here to help clients with their personal recovery journey from drugs and alcohol. They do this by educating individuals about local community resources and activities, and supporting them with recovery planning and life skills education.
