About Deaconess Cross Pointe Inpatient Services

On the east side of Evansville, Indiana, Deaconess Cross Pointe (Inpatient) serves the community with a unique combination of psychiatric stabilization and addiction care. This isn’t a typical rehab. It’s a fully accredited 60-bed 24/7 hospital unit treating serious mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse.

Hospital-Backed Support Beyond the Basics

Unlike traditional rehabs that are purely residential substance-abuse centers, Cross Pointe Inpatient is part of a hospital system so clients benefit from access to crisis care and chemical dependency under one roof.

At Cross Pointe Inpatient, the process begins with a comprehensive evaluation to understand the client’s emotional, behavioral, and chemical dependency needs. From there, services are tailored to the individual. They run an acute adult inpatient unit focused on crisis stabilization, and have a youth inpatient unit for kids ages 10 to 17.

A Full Toolkit for Complex Needs

Programming at Cross Pointe Inpatient includes individual and group therapy, psychiatric medication, and more intensive treatments like electroconvulsive therapy when needed. I’m impressed to learn they also offer suicide-prevention services, case management, and family psychoeducation to address every aspect of recovery.

Payment options for Deaconess Cross Pointe Inpatient include Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, self-pay, and funds from mental health agencies.
