About Daymark Recovery Services – Stokes Center

Accredited by CARF, the Stokes Center of Daymark Recovery Services is located in King, North Carolina. They provide various outpatient (OP) mental health and substance abuse services to the youth and adults.

Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. If you don’t have health insurance, then you will be eligible for a discounted sliding fee scale.

They have two primary goals. Their main goal is to have you abstain from addictive substances. The second goal is for your overall improvement. It’s for you to improve your overall health and better your relationships with your loved ones. They also want you to improve in finding and maintaining employment, as well as relapse prevention.

The substance abuse intensive outpatient program (IOP) is very strict. You must attend treatment for three days per week for three hours each session. You must attend for a minimum of nine hours per week. You do need to make sure that you do not go more than two consecutive days without attending treatment.

I like that you’ll be periodically screened for drugs and alcohol. I also like that they encourage you to attend at least one support group everyday you attend.

The program is about three months in length. They provide you with a person centered plan. With this type of plan, your therapist and you will be able to customize your treatment. You will be able to identify your goals, needs and preferences. Also, with monthly updates you will be able to review and document any changes.

I like that they use biochemical testing as one of their services. This service is able to identify if you have recently used any drugs and/or alcohol. Medication assisted treatment with Suboxone is also available.
