About CYS Children and Youth Services Behavioral Health Residential
Located in Utqiagvik, Alaska, CYS Children and Youth Services is a level II, 14 bed emergency shelter that offers behavioral health services and crisis stabilization services to individuals up to the age of 18 in a residential format. Services include mental health, behavioral health, and alcohol and drug rehab services.
CYS Children and Youth Services offers individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and treatment programming that is culturally sensitive and educational. Clients may need a safe home, support after treatment, foster care, or a residential stay that will help address mental health and addiction challenges. This program provides safe and nurturing mental health treatment that helps clients through a person centered approach to overcoming life challenges. Clients may also participate in educational classes that cover a wide variety of topics related to family living, relationships, communication, resiliency, recovery, life skills, coping skills, and cultural wisdom that provide a new way of thinking in daily life.
