About Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board Russell County Satellite Office
The Russell County Satellite Office of Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board features outpatient treatment and other related services. They're located in Lebanon, Virginia. Adult males and females who are 18 years of age and older are able to receive outpatient treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. The office is in a quiet corner of town not far from Little Cedar Creek.
They do provide priority admissions to priority populations. Pregnant and/or parenting women who are intravenous users have first priority. Second are women who may be pregnant and are intravenous users, pregnant and/or parenting women who are not intravenous uses, intravenous uses, individuals with a co-occurring disorder and other individuals who are experiencing a substance use disorder. Immediate appointments will always be offered and are encouraged to be seen within 48 hours.
Their Project Link program stood out to me. This program is also based on Rogers Street and provides women who are struggling with a substance use disorder and are of child bearing age, pregnant, postpartum or parenting with intensive case management services.
Project Link was designed to meet your needs by coordinating and enhancing the existing services. You’ll be provided with a full continuum of care as healthcare and support services will be integrated with your treatment, prevention and early intervention.
Recovery support services are available to adult males and females, as well as their family and significant others. It's led by recovery coaches. For the most part, coaches are your peers who are in an active recovery stage. Your recovery coach can serve as a mentor, sounding board, and confidant. Their services provide you with an alternative if you aren’t ready for treatment, if you are in treatment, and if you’re in a post treatment phase. I like that they provide some comfort as they themselves have stood in your shoes.
