About Covenant Community
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Covenant Community’s Men for Hope is a nonprofit, accredited residential program for substance abuse and homelessness. Support is available to men aged 18 and older, regardless of race, ethnicity, and background.
A 14-bed facility, Covenant exists as a kind of haven for men who have fallen on hard times, whether through housing insecurity, addiction, or both, and their families. It features a kitchen, common living and dining areas, dorms, spaces for individual and group sessions, and a fitness space.
Residents take part in a minimum of 5 hours of treatment here. Treatment involves individual and group counseling, skill-building activities, and educational sessions on topics such as money management, employment support, and housing stabilization services. This way, individuals can get set up with professional and residential security as they transition from residential treatment to a sustainable, long-term recovery.
On top of this, residents can benefit from facilitated health and wellness, and a safe, supportive environment surrounded by peers in a therapeutic community. They’ll also participate in 12 Step programming as part of their treatment, processing, and psychoeducation groups, as well as recreational and leisure activities for a rounded, holistic experience.
