About COOPERATIVE CARE

Cooperative Care is a Treatment center located in Rio Grande, New Jersey. Since they were established they have assisted adolescents and adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring conditions. They offer level one and level 2.1 intensive outpatient (IOP) care.

When you’re struggling with cravings and withdrawals due to chemical dependency, life in recovery can appear overwhelming or unattainable. By receiving prescribed medication and psychosocial interventions, it can help you develop more stability in your day-to-day life, alleviate the symptoms you’re grappling with, and develop coping skills.

They offer daytime and evening sessions with individual and group counseling combined with a total of 12 hours a week. They will discuss various topics to help you navigate life in recovery and utilize evidence-based therapies that can help you manage triggers and ways to prevent you from relapsing.

What stands out to me the most are the integrative care programs. It’s not uncommon to struggle with chemical dependency as well as mental health conditions. They offer co-occurring treatment where they will complete medication management and psychiatric evaluations so you can get the best level of care you need. They specialize in grief couples counseling, trauma-focused therapy, and stress reduction.

Something else that caught my eye was how they prioritize family involvement with treatment. Being a parent already has its challenges especially when your child may have been negatively affected due to chemical dependency. They offer parent-child interaction therapy for kids between the ages of two and seven who struggle with behavioral and emotional disorders. This can develop an opportunity for you and your child to bond, increase positive interaction with one another, reduce stress, and develop a healthier home environment.
