About Connecticut Renaissance Inc

You’ll find Connecticut Renaissance Bridgeport Lync in the historic city of Bridgeport, Connecticut. As one of the State’s first outpatient treatment programs, Connecticut Renaissance has served adults, youth, and families since 1967. Linking Youth to Natural Communities (LYNC) is a program for adolescents in the court system and their families.

This outpatient program provides proven therapeutic interventions for youth referred by the local juvenile probation office. With a mission to promote sustainable behavioral changes, they connect you and your child to community agencies and natural supports. Their program addresses many challenges, including addiction, mental health, trauma, and more. You and your teen can access screenings, assessments, group therapy, short-term family and individual sessions, life skills training, care coordination, and much more.

What stands out most to me is their approach. They work with local organizations across Bridgeport to offer tailored resources and treatment for your child. I think it’s great that they consider the significance of the natural environment in finding appropriate care for your child. Your family can also access bilingual services to ensure you feel heard and understood. That way, you and your family can receive care that resonates with you on multiple levels.

Another amazing feature I noticed was their group interventions. They offer several targeted groups to help your child address the root of their challenges among others on similar paths. Some of their groups include Girl’s Circle, Seeking Safety, Reasoning & Rehabilitation, EMPLOY, and Life Skills. Your teen can share their story and develop essential coping skills while connecting with peers.

Of these groups, EMPLOY really caught my eye. This eight-session program provides job readiness education and training. Your child will benefit from developing vocational skills to prepare them for starting a career after treatment.
