About Compass Health Network Higginsville
Based in Higginsville, Missouri, is just one of many Compass Health Network facilities. As part of their umbrella organization, this location also specializes in behavioral health and substance abuse services. It’s in a quiet corner of town, with some greenspaces nearby. Clients can access thorough assessments and psychological testing for co-occurring mental health issues. This service is available to both teens and adults.
Self pay options and sliding scale payment applications are available to those eligible. Most private insurances are also accepted, along with Medicaid, too.
Alongside testing services, this center also hosts a Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Programs (SATOP). A few variations are available, including the Offender Education Program (OEP). This is a 10 hour education program that helps individuals address and understand the effects of drinking on their ability to drive. Throughout the program, they’ll also unpack the choices and behaviors that led them to commit their offense. This program is appropriate for both first-time and repeat offenders.
Meanwhile, the Weekend Intervention Program (WIP) takes place over 48 consecutive hours. Designed for ‘higher risk’ and repeat offenders, or as an intensive program for first-time offenders, it takes place within a pretty restrictive environment over the course of a weekend. Throughout, participants will engage in intensive educational sessions, small group activities, and individual counseling.
There’s also the Clinical Intervention Program (CIP), which is an outpatient program for repeat offenders, and individuals struggling to make positive changes or improvements to their drunk driving behavior. This SATOP is a 50-hour program and takes place over a minimum of five weeks. Participants can expect individual and group counseling, as well as group education sessions.
The final program is a level 4 program, otherwise known as the Serious and Repeat Offender Program (SROP). This is an intensive outpatient intervention program that takes place over 75 hours, and a minimum of 90 days. The content is much the same as the others, with a combination of group and individual counseling, group education, and regular substance use testing.
