About Compass Health – Arlington

Compass Health is a behavioral healthcare organization in Northwest Washington State. They offer integrated medical and behavioral healthcare from multiple locations, including the Smokey Point Office in Arlington, Washington. The Arlington facility primarily treats children through its child advocacy program (CAP). CAP provides ongoing mental health therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults.

I noticed that the services are for individuals up to 22 years of age who have witnessed violence or been sexually abused. For clients who need targeted addiction or substance use disorder treatment, the staff can refer you to one of the nearby networked facilities in East Sound or Friday Harbor for outpatient care. Programs are available in Spanish.

You can pay for treatment using Medicaid. The Arlington office is easy to reach from major highways and roads. It’s specifically almost next door to the municipal airport.

Specially Trained Therapists

The therapists who deal with children are specially trained in trauma focused care. They use evidence based treatment models, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). The goal of the program is to support clients through their trauma experience as they move toward a fulfilling and happy life.

Wraparound Treatment Services

I like the wraparound services offered through this organization. They treat more than the affected children. They also treat non-offending adult family members. For those under court orders and need assistance with substance misuse, Compass Health coordinates with probation officers, local hospitals and community resources.
