About Community Health Center Addiction Services RAMAR Residential Facility
Community Health Center Addiction Services RAMAR Residential Facility is located on a quiet residential street in Akron, Ohio. Established in 1983, they provide a stable living environment for adult men from all walks of life to come together in recovery. You’ll benefit from intensive proven approaches, ongoing monitoring and support to reach your recovery goals.
Their 60 to 90-day program provides comprehensive care for up to 24 men at once. One incredible feature that really stood out to me was their homelike atmosphere. They strive to welcome you into the family as soon as you begin treatment. You can enjoy all the comforts of home including a meditation room, two lounges, comfortable bedrooms, recreational spaces and a fitness center. They create a supporting and loving community to motivate you throughout recovery.
With residential care, you’ll receive continuous guidance and encouragement to prosper in your journey. You’ll benefit from a personalized treatment plan to address your unique situation. They offer proven approaches like individual and group counseling, case management, art therapy, psychiatry, peer support services, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and vocational programming.
One unique thing about them is they offer multiple forms of MAT. You can access FDA-approved medications to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms including buprenorphine, methadone and Vivitrol. This highlights their dedication to individualized care because they show that recovery isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey.
Their various group sessions also caught my eye. With group therapy, you can build ongoing sober support with peers you can resonate with. They offer an intensive outpatient group, peer recovery support groups, a grief therapy support group and a motivational group for accomplishing your treatment goals. I love this approach because you’ll benefit from sharing your experiences along with connecting and learning from peers in recovery.
