About Communicare Inc

Communicare Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC) provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment along with other behavioral health care needs to individuals in the Leitchfield, Kentucky region. CBHC offers outpatient care and detox support for adolescents and adults and even crisis stabilization specifically for adults.

This facility also operates as a community bridge, linking its patients to essential community services and programs if needed. CBHC accepts most major insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare.

Safe Medical Detox

If you’re actively in addiction, CBHC has an 18 to 24 month program that leverages medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help you safely detox from opioid or heroin. I appreciated that this program is offered in conjunction with therapy to help you maintain your sobriety.

A Variety of Outpatient Services

One thing I appreciated about CBHC is that this facility offers three levels of outpatient care. If you’re newly sober, you might benefit from the partial hospitalization program (PHP) which requires that you check yourself in every day for roughly eight hours of counseling and care, but can allows you to stay overnight at your home.

You’ll still need to participate in near daily structured therapy sessions in the intensive outpatient program (IOP) but you’re not required to check into the hospital. Finally as you progress through your recovery, you can transition to traditional outpatient care which offers several therapy sessions throughout the week.

However, the focus is on enhanced schedule flexibility to accommodate any obligations you have. Additionally, you can participate in the MAT program while also being enrolled in any of CBHC’s outpatient programs.

Specialized Counseling

CBHC provides a range of counseling services which can include assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, specialized options for adolescents and women, and even care for women struggling with SUD while pregnant or postpartum.

There are also services for members of the military, LGBTQ+, people diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, and victims of trauma, sexual abuse or domestic violence. When you’re not in treatment, be sure to check out some of the great natural areas nearby including Leitchfield City Park and Rough River Lake.
