About Communicare Behavioral Health Clinic
Communicare provides substance abuse and mental health treatment in Bardstown, Kentucky. They also have facilities in eight Lincoln Trail area counties to offer a complete continuum of care for the communities.
The medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program is available to help ease withdrawal symptoms for those experiencing opioid or alcohol addiction. It is an 18 to 24 month service that may help prevent relapse and increase the chances of long-term recovery.
Communicare also works with community partners, like Passages, to provide resources, such as women’s transitional housing. The subsidized housing units are in Hardin County and available to homeless women, those with substance addiction and limited income, who have received treatment within the prior six months and are over 18 years old.
They can refer pregnant, parenting, and postpartum women to the EAST center, which is a 30-day residential program. This service allows women to bring children under five while in treatment. They also have a men’s unit, with those needing MAT given priority.
Case management services are available to help adults access the resources and programs necessary for ongoing recovery and a better quality of life. If you need higher intensity care then they can provide a referral to one of their residential treatment programs located in Bardstown and Elizabethtown.
Communicare offers substance use outpatient services in all locations to provide flexibility so you can continue with typical daily activities while getting treatment. Aftercare is available for continued recovery support.
They work with Medicare, Medicaid and many major health insurance plans. They also have a sliding fee scale for those who need assistance paying for treatment.
