About Commonwealth Substance Abuse Services

Commonwealth Substance Abuse Services (CASA) supports adults ready to embrace a new way of life, one built on accountability, personal responsibility and healthier choices. Whether you’re seeking help on your own or required by the court for license reinstatement, CASA offers the support you need to move forward. They’re located on Houston Road in Florence, Kentucky, less than a mile west of the iconic Florence Y’alls Water Tower and a little over a mile northwest of Florence Nature Park.

The facility offers a nonjudgmental space where you can open up about your struggle under the listening ears of specialists and receive customized support that improves your recovery outcome. I really appreciate how these experts go above and beyond to ensure you receive the best possible support, reflecting a genuine dedication to each client’s success and wellbeing.

What Clients Are Saying

Many past clients expressed deep satisfaction with the support they received from CASA’s compassionate team, citing positive customer interaction and experience. One client noted that they don’t lecture you but instead provide outstanding information and real-life scenarios.

Comprehensive Support for Court-Involved Individuals

CASA is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide substance abuse assessments, education and outpatient therapy for DUI offenders. Assessment is typically the first step toward regaining your driving privileges. It ensures you’re connected to the right level of support suitable for your risk level.

If you’re a first-time offender, you may be eligible to continue with the Prime for Life Alcohol/Drug Education Program following your assessment. This 20-hour educational course covers positive decision-making, goal setting and the risks of impaired driving with a focus on preventing reoffending.

CASA’s outpatient therapy serves repeat or multiple DUI offenders, helping them understand the impact of their actions and develop strategies to prevent relapse and avoid future offenses. I really like their commitment to keeping the whole process flexible with evening and weekend schedules tailored to accommodate your daily routine. Their small group sizes also mean you get more personalized attention and a safe space to open up and connect with others on a similar path.
