About Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington

Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington (CCDC) provides a faith based approach to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for adolescents and adults in Covington, Kentucky. Regardless of your faith, this organization is there to provide detailed care and help you through your recovery journey.

More importantly, CCDC doesn’t just focus on addiction treatment but provides comprehensive community services to help you get back on your feet and reintegrate into society.

Customized Outpatient Care

I appreciate that CCDC allows walk ins and provides evaluations on the first and third Wednesday morning of each month. However, I did note that this provider is better suited for a person who is continuing their addiction treatment but has at least achieved sobriety. CCDC does support dual diagnosis treatment for people struggling with addiction and mental health disorders but it is not a detox facility.

So, if you are still actively struggling with addiction, CCDC can provide you with recommendations for facilities that can help you get sober before transitioning back to CCDC for continuing outpatient treatment.

Comprehensive Counseling Support

I appreciate that CCDC provides a wide range of counseling services designed to meet the individual needs of their participants. This can include individual, family, child, and even marriage counseling since so many areas of your life can be impacted by addiction. You can also take advantage of trauma informed care such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

Support groups are also available especially for parents dealing with adolescent or adult children actively struggling with addiction. Although not a requirement, if you do want therapy to include a spiritual component then this facility can help with that.

An Affordable Solution

CCDC accepts most major insurance plans but not Medicare or Medicaid. However, they do provide a sliding fee scale based on income verification.
