About COMHAR – Outpatient

COMHAR Outpatient welcomes youth and adults seeking recovery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It’s not far from the Cohocksink Recreation Center. They offer standard and enhanced treatment programs for addiction, mental health conditions, trauma and intellectual disabilities.

Prioritizing Accessibility

One standout feature I noticed was their emphasis on accessible care. They strive to reduce barriers to care. With walk in access, you can easily get the support you need as soon as possible. The staff also offers services for people without insurance, so finances won’t stand in the way of starting treatment.

Targeted Care for Special Populations

I also think it’s wonderful that they provide tailored care for certain populations. While they welcome everyone seeking treatment, members of the LGBTQIA, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and members of the Latino community can access programs catered to their unique needs. Clients can really benefit from an inclusive space with compassionate care from experts who understand.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) in Philly

Another beneficial feature I noticed was that they provide MAT. This approach combines FDA approved medications with behavioral interventions to help you achieve your recovery goals. These medications can alleviate withdrawal symptoms and cravings while reducing the chance of relapse.

You can also participate in group, individual, and family therapy, as well as case management and community resource referrals.
