For any mental health or addiction crisis, Columbus Springs offers 24-hour care. A crisis may include homicidal or suicidal thoughts or ideas, active withdrawal symptoms or self-destructive behaviors. Once admitted, you’ll be assessed and given a treatment plan.
The outpatient programs are therapeutic and recovery-focused. During PHP treatment, you’ll attend treatment five days per week for up to six hours per day. You’ll engage in counseling, recreational activities, wellness education, and holistic therapies.
The intensive outpatient program includes three to five days per week of treatment. Sessions last three hours with daytime and evening hours available to accommodate a range of schedules. You can expect to receive education and skill building, individual counseling, and medication management.
During inpatient detox, you’ll be given medications to help you through withdrawal symptoms and decrease your uncomfortable drug cravings. Your length of stay will depend on which substances you were using. Once you’re stabilized you’ll be given talk therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. You’ll also participate in support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
