About CODAC Behavioral Healthcare East Bay
CODAC Behavioral Healthcare’s East Bay location is a CARF-accredited nonprofit in a commercial district of East Providence, Rhode Island. Since 1971, they have provided person-centered care for adults who are struggling with substance abuse and dual-diagnosis disorders.
What makes them so unique is the integrative care they provide to help you achieve more stability in your everyday life. It’s not uncommon to experience mental health conditions like bipolar, anxiety, and/or depression and struggle with substance abuse. To provide you with the healing you need, they’ll complete a screening and connect you to a licensed clinician to discuss treatment options, create a personalized care plan, provide co-occurring therapy, and discuss medication management.
They offer traditional outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient care (IOP). This allows you the option to talk with one of their highly skilled clinicians to determine what level of care may be most appropriate for you. Their (IOP) program will consist of nine hours a week for four to six weeks.
I know it is difficult during the early stages of recovery to adjust to a life of sobriety, especially when you’re dealing with heightened emotions, withdrawals, triggers, and cravings. They provide a multitude of services to help you develop a strong foundation for your recovery. Some of the many services that will be accessible to you are medication assisted treatment (MAT) with buprenorphine, behavioral therapy, therapeutic massages, and acupuncture.
What stood out to me is the other services of care they can assist you with that can be overlooked. When you’re struggling with opioid use disorder and pain, seeking choices for pain relief can be difficult. They offer a specific program where they will provide you with other strategies to help you combat chronic pain. They also offer gambling addiction treatment.
They accept Medicaid and other insurance providers. A mobile unit may be available with limited services.
