About CODA Gresham Womens and Mens Residential
CODA operates the Gresham Women’s and Men’s Residential substance use addiction recovery program in Portland, Oregon. This facility serves men and women and their families affected by substance use disorders. They support expecting and parenting mothers and women involved in child welfare and criminal justice systems.
Their treatment promotes the development of parenting skills and household stability. Kids may live with their mother onsite. While they encourage father/child bonding, kids can’t live with their father onsite. However, they accommodate visitations and weekend stays.
The facility offers a structured, safe and supportive recovery environment that fosters stability. The setting also nurtures recovery-supportive socialization. You can expect to receive individualized care tailored to your unique needs. This is made possible by their compassionate and highly experienced recovery team. These experts provide round-the-clock support at all stages of recovery and ensure you receive the care you need. As you progress in your recovery journey, you’ll gain outing privileges, among others.
You’ll participate in individual and group counseling to develop relevant life skills and coping mechanisms that promote relapse prevention. This group, like all other services, is gender specific to ensure tailored support for each individual. Family involvement is emphasized and families are encouraged to participate in counseling sessions alongside clients. They also offer family education to help loved ones better grasp addiction as a disease while learning how to support you in recovery.
Their evidence based model will include medication assisted treatment if relevant to your recovery journey. This will especially be the case if you’re struggling with addiction to opioids, stimulants and alcohol. This technique uses FDA approved medication and counseling to support recovery. You’ll also be connected and attend 12-step meetings and peer support groups like AA or NA.
Community integration is also a core element of this recovery process and is facilitated through case management services. This may involve coordination with mental health providers and DHS as well as probation/parole officers and housing supports. Aftercare services may include assisting you in transitioning to other levels of care for ongoing recovery. This may be available within their network or through community providers.
