About Children’s Supportive Services

Children's Supportive Services is one of the more unique substance use disorder and co occurring disorder treatment centers in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their mission is to help children and their families cope with various behavioral health concerns through a range of therapeutic services. What I find neat about them is that they can deliver these services in the environment where the problems are taking place, such as home or school.

Some services are also open to adults. They accept Medicaid and select insurance plans too. Discounts are also available for those who need financial assistance.

School and Home Based Recovery for Youth in Idaho Falls

Idaho Falls is a beautiful place to find SUD recovery too. The Idaho Falls River Walks is just one of the sites that allows you to be in the moment and enjoy sobriety, all while surrounded by natural beauty. Check it out if you decide to visit and see how spending time in nature can give you strength in recovery.

Strengthening the Family

It's only logical that a center dedicated to helping children and teenagers would also extend its services to other members of the family. After all, family bonds are an important part of addiction recovery, as each member of the family plays an important support role in the life of the client. This location offers a few such services, but there's one I want to highlight specifically.

The Family Support Partner Program is all about teaching parents about the role they can play in recovery. It's about much more than being supportive (though that's key, too!). This program shows the adults how they can model the behaviors their child can learn to use in their recovery and continue to use as they grow into well rounded adults.

Finding the Missing Pieces with Psychosocial Therapy

This location also offers psychosocial rehabilitation for kids and adults. This form of therapy looks at what developmental milestones someone may have missed as a result of severe mental illness or substance use. The program's goal is to teach missed skills that bring the client to an appropriate developmental stage for their age.

This is a vital service because it's hard to know where you should be simply from your perspective. This is an area where an outside perspective is necessary. Of course, this kind of rehabilitation can benefit other forms of mental health and addiction counseling.
