About Cherokee Nation
Cherokee Nation – Three Rivers Health Center is an outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment provider located in Muskogee, Oklahoma serving Cherokee Nation citizens and families.
As part of Cherokee Nation's integrated health system Three Rivers delivers culturally connected and whole person care within a broader tribal healthcare setting.
The center offers prevention and counseling, psychiatric services, and an Intensive Outpatient Program for clients affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Outpatient Substance Use Prevention and Education Programs
Three Rivers Health Center provides outpatient substance use services including alcohol and drug prevention, education, and counseling for youth, adults, and families.
The Intensive Outpatient Program offers up to nine hours weekly of group and client counseling for those needing structured support. Prevention focused programming complements clinical care, helping reduce and delay substance use across the community.
Treatment is delivered through counseling sessions that I noted are designed to address the personal and family dynamics that often accompany substance use.
Integrated Behavioral Health and Psychiatry
Behavioral Health Services at Three Rivers provide comprehensive mental health care including assessment, counseling, and medication management for co-occurring conditions.
Psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management are available alongside therapy which we know allows patients to receive coordinated care for both mental health and substance use needs in one location.
