Chemical Addictions Program (CAP)

Capital City of Chemical Addictions Program (CAP) and Aletheia House in Montgomery, Alabama is a men’s residential and outpatient facility for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. They are a member of the United Way of Central Alabama.

The facility is accredited by CARF and recognized as a state substance abuse agency by the state mental health department. They are a private non profit organization that offers free or low cost services. They accept Medicaid and have federal funding and other assistance for payment.

Men’s Residential Addiction Treatment

Addiction treatment and dual diagnoses treatment are offered here for adult men. Therapies follow the Matrix Model and include CBT, motivational interviewing, and motivational incentives. Other treatments include trauma related counseling, anger management, substance use counseling and relapse prevention education.

Services to Build a Life in Recovery

While you are a resident at the facility you will receive assistance with employment. You can also receive vocational training or educational support, such as GED preparation. Your family can be active in your recovery as well because they offer family counseling sessions.

Support for Your Health and Medications for Addiction

Injecting drugs makes you susceptible to disease and it’s also common to engage in other risky behaviors while intoxicated. They will provide you with HIV/AIDS and hepatitis education or support for those who have been diagnosed. Testing is provided for HIV and TB.

The facility is able to give you oral doses of naltrexone as well. If you have opioid addiction or alcohol addiction this medication can help with your recovery by addressing the physical symptoms of addiction while you work toward healing the mental components of addiction.

There are designated areas where you will be permitted to smoke or vape. If you want to quit, you have the option of receiving smoking cessation counseling. Special services are available for the deaf or hard of hearing. Outpatient services are telemedicine conducted via telehealth.
