About Central Utah Counseling Center

Central Utah Counseling Center Loa in Loa, Utah, is one of the organization’s seven locations. This center is designed to provide compassionate mental and behavioral care, including addiction treatment, to individuals in their local communities. Medicaid is accepted and sliding scale fees are provided. Discounts are also available to those eligible based on family size and income.

Clients who come here for mental health and addiction treatment can expect an initial assessment and evaluation. This allows the team to learn more about individuals’ personal circumstances, medical history and the severity of their addiction. Clients can then access case management services, medication management and therapy services. In terms of therapy, clients can access individual and group sessions as well as individual and group therapeutic behavioral services.

Family resource facilitation is also available to support families and loved ones who want to support those going through recovery. This initiative does so by giving family members access to educational resources and tools to help them better understand their loved one’s addiction and mental health issues. Family support has been proven to positively impact the effectiveness of recovery outcomes, so this is a great option to take advantage of where applicable.

Individual and group skills development sessions are also provided to fill in the life skills gaps that will support individuals both during and beyond treatment and recovery. Meanwhile, peer support services encourage community and accountability. Many group sessions are available to clients during evening hours, which is ideal for those with less flexible schedules. Telehealth options are also helpful to those individuals unable to make regular in-person sessions.
