About Central Florida Treatment Centers – Ft. Pierce

Central Florida Treatment Center has been assisting adults struggling with opioid use since 2005. They’re located in Lake Worth Professional Park right off Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth, Florida. You can easily get there via I-95 or the Turnpike no matter the direction you’re coming from.

They can help you break your cycle of opioids via medication assisted treatment (MAT). It consists of FDA-approved meds alongside counseling to provide holistic healing. This means a complete healing involving your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

You’ll undergo a complete assessment once you visit this clinic. They’ll evaluate your substance use history, physical/mental health and social or family support system. This forms the foundation of your tailored care.

You can start dosing on the day of your admission if you’re assessed to not be under the influence. This will range between 20 to 30 milligrams of either methadone, Suboxone or Vivitrol. The meds will depend on your personalized care plan. Opioids dependent pregnant women are prescribed methadone to ensure the safety of both the infant and the mother.

Regardless of the meds prescribed, they all tackle the physical aspect of your opioid by alleviating cravings and withdrawal symptoms. You’ll then undergo counseling to address the psychological side and build healthy coping to prevent relapse. This combined approach ensures holistic healing. If you need any downtime, the Keller Canal, which leads to Lake Osborne, isn’t too far away. And of course, the Atlantic Ocean beaches are a bit further away.

The length of treatment may depend on your abused drug of choice, length of addiction and level of dependency. Your previous treatment and relapse history may also influence the duration of the treatment. It usually ranges between six to twelve months. This makes sense since the goal is long-term abstinence which realistically cannot be achieved overnight.

Their skilled physicians will supervise and guide you throughout the process. They'll conduct drug screening as necessary to monitor progress and ensure compliance with treatment guidelines. As you progress, the clinical team will help you taper off. This means slowly lowering your meds to make withdrawals easier and ensure a smoother transition to a life free of drugs.

Central Florida Treatment Center accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.
