About Central City Integrated Health
Central City Integrated Health is a drug and alcohol treatment center for adults, located in Detroit, Michigan. The center offers detox, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, outpatient programs, peer services, case management, housing, medical care, and comprehensive aftercare.
As a nonprofit community organization, Central City Health provides a range of human services from housing to addiction treatment. The center serves mostly marginalized individuals and those experiencing homelessness. Treatment begins with a comprehensive mental health assessment and the creation of an individualized treatment plan. Treatment may include Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), individual and group counseling, engaging with a peer mentor, co-occurring disorder treatment, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). MAT involves the use of FDA-approved medications in combination with behavioral therapy. It is a highly effective treatment endorsed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
Central City Integrated Health is accredited by the Michigan Department of Community Health, SAMHSA, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). They are licensed by the state and partially funded by the Detroit Wayne Community Mental Health Agency. Most major insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay are accepted. Financial aid and financing may also be available.
