Maine Division of Disease Surveillance
Because syringe programs are so critical to reducing the spread of disease, the Maine Division of Disease Surveillance lists syringe service programs in counties across the state. Eight Maine counties have at least one program and the website provides addresses, phone numbers, websites, and hours.

207-287-3707
The Maine Office of Behavioral Health provides information about accessing multiple social services, including substance use treatment, mental health care, housing services, and employment support. They also have services for the justice-involved, such as access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in jail, case management, MAT re-entry services, and crisis support.
Peer Support Warmline
866-771-9276
The Maine Peer Support Line is another state-run hotline, allowing those with substance use concerns to connect with peer support who will encourage and foster recovery. Sometimes talking to someone who has been in the same place can make all the difference.
