About Hooper Detoxification Stabilization Center

The Hooper Detoxification Stabilization Center offers both inpatient and outpatient detox programs for a variety of substance use disorders. Every year the center serves an impressive 2,000 to 3,000 people living with addiction, in a safe, inclusive environment. It’s sure to be beneficial that many of the center’s staff are themselves in recovery and therefore, understand the fear and challenges of withdrawal and show clients sobriety is attainable. They’re in Portland, Oregon.

Clients in the impatient withdrawal and stabilization program receive 24/7 monitoring and support, with specialized services available for those who are pregnant, managing diabetes, have high blood pressure, or have other health concerns. Medication supported recovery with Suboxone is available to clients with a dependence on opioid drugs to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. A typical stay is 3 to 8 days and following detox clients are assisted in planning the transition into outpatient treatment, sober housing, or back home.

Hooper’s outpatient program offers the same services as the residential program but with the flexibility of not staying onsite. Clients can transition into the outpatient program after their residential stay if they need some additional support, such as those taking methadone and have additional withdrawal needs.

The center clearly cares about those struggling with addiction as they don’t turn anyone away for an inability to pay or lack of insurance. Plus, they accept some private insurance plans and will help clients set up coverage if needed.
