About CoxHealth Center For Addiction—Springfield

Cox Health Center for Addiction is a medical facility treating mental health and addiction disorders in Springfield, Missouri. They provide a range of programs for adults including inpatient detox, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Medication management, continuing care and family support are also a part of addiction treatment at this location.

Detox takes place in the medical unit and is the first step on your path to recovery. You’ll be in close contact with the medical team to ensure your overall safety and comfort. Medications will be given to help the withdrawal process and may be needed during ongoing treatment.

After detox, the PHP offers an intensive treatment program. You’ll attend sessions Monday through Friday for several hours per day. The IOP provides a more versatile environment and schedule. You’ll have the option to build your own schedule with day, evening and weekend treatment sessions. You may participate in medication assisted treatment (MAT) alongside other outpatient care or on its own.

A continuing care program is provided at no cost to treatment graduates. They recommend attending this program for six months after you finish treatment. This program consists of groups facilitated by an addictions counselor. Groups cover topics like relapse prevention, accountability and maintaining a sober lifestyle.

Former clients of Cox Health Center for Addiction seem satisfied with their experiences. They mention the providers are awesome and the programming helps you stay sober. Another person said if you’re looking for confidential and extraordinary care then you should choose Cox.
