About Carrington Behavioral Health

Carrington Behavioral Health is located on Noble Road in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. It’s close to Barbara Boyd Park. The CARF-accredited center specializes in treating youth and families but also offers treatment for individuals with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders when requested. They treat people in the Cleveland area and surrounding communities.

The facility accepts private health insurance, Medicaid, state juvenile justice funds, and other state funds.

The center is focused on helping at-risk youth with delinquent behaviors such as substance use. They recognize that many youths are growing up in high stress environments with poverty, crime, abuse, and violence. Early mental health intervention can provide kids with the coping skills they need to address difficult circumstances.

One of the best ways is through a residential program. The residential treatment program offers services for kids between the ages of 8-21. They have around the clock monitoring and are provided with vocational, academic, clinical, and recreational services.

Outpatient services are also available and treat a wide variety of disorders. Some disorders include addiction to alcohol, drugs, the internet, and gambling. They also treat sexual disorders, eating disorders, and other behavioral mental health issues. The programs work through evidence based therapies like individual, family, and group counseling. They address interpersonal relationships, family relations, situational stressors, domestic violence, abuse, and neglect.

Diagnostic and psychological assessments are available and usually completed within 30 days of beginning treatment. All treatment happens under the direction of a multidisciplinary treatment team. The team coordinates care and helps clients transition between the levels, steps, and phases of the different programs.

They also offer daily clinical programming in the community. This includes case management services for targeted programs such as therapy programs for males over seven years of age. The program referral sources are courts, welfare agencies, and the community. Each child has a service plan and is treated based on his/her identified problems and strengths.

Substance use and addiction assessments are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with weekend and evening hours as needed. Behavioral health assessments have the same hours.
