About Care Resource Community Health Centers Miami Beach

Renowned for pristine waterfronts and a vibrant culture and arts scene, Miami Beach, Florida is also home to Care Resource Community Health Centers Miami Beach. This outpatient clinic provides addiction treatment, mental health services, HIV/AIDS support and other social services for people of all ages.

One incredible feature I noticed was their affordable payment options. Along with accepting insurance, they provide discounted sliding fee scales to get the care you need regardless of finances. They also offer some services through grant funding. That means you may have access to free care depending on your situation.

With their outpatient rehab, you can fit treatment into your schedule while living at home. Their program provides proven therapeutic interventions including group, individual, family and couples counseling as well as medication assisted treatment (MAT) and peer support. These approaches can help you recognize and address the underlying factors of addiction. You’ll also build essential coping skills to make healthier decisions.

What stands out most to me is their emphasis on cultural competency. Miami is an extremely diverse city, with over half of residents identifying as Latino or African American. Their program offers empathetic care from highly trained professionals who are well versed in the unique experiences that people in the BIPOC community face. Additionally, you can access every service in multiple languages, including English, Spanish and Creole.

Another incredible feature that caught my eye was their support groups. You’ll benefit from virtual and in-person groups, covering essential recovery topics. Groups focused on trauma, anger management, gender specific challenges, stimulant use recovery, Seeking Safety and LGBTQ+ challenges are available.

Of these groups, their tech addiction group really caught my eye. These sessions take a deep dive into technology and internet addiction. You’ll benefit from psychoeducation to address these challenges and connect with others fighting the same battle.

LGBTQ Friendly Rehab

Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.

Men's Rehab

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.

Senior Drug & Alcohol Rehab

If you're over the age of 65, elderly rehab in Florida gives you the opportunity to be in a treatment program with your peers. This tends to be helpful for older adults because they can receive mutual support and acceptance from their peers. These programs are specifically designed for seniors.

Women's Rehab

Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.

Teen & Adolescent Program

Young adults often develop addiction for different reasons than older individuals. That’s why a young adult program in Florida focuses on the unique pressures, needs, and challenges faced by young adults.
