About Bridgeway Inc
Bridgeway Inc. is a nonprofit, community oriented organization located in Kewanee, Illinois. They serve adults, children and families of all backgrounds who need access to mental healthcare, housing support and treatment for a substance use disorder.
They offer wraparound services that will improve your quality of life. There is also a strong focus on helping marginalized individuals, including those who may be living with a physical or intellectual disability. Their supports are offered through an outpatient program. They also offer DUI evaluation and other educational supports.
There’s an intentional focus on helping you learn specific skills to overcome your substance use struggle. The skills you’ll explore are ones that are relevant to you if you have a mental health struggle or disability. They also have coordinated care services which can connect you to other community based services like their Adult Coordinated Care Services. This service aims to help you move through an intentional, goal oriented drug recovery plan that is flexible, yet robust.
If you require it you can get connected to one of this location’s community housing options where you can apply the life skills you’ve learned through your substance recovery program. If you have a disability, you’ll find further support through access to employment opportunities and supportive housing options in the community.
As an educator, I really appreciate their partnership with the local school systems. Through the Bridgeway’s Prevention Program, children have access to education and outreach services that can help them steer clear of drug or alcohol use. This program serves all schools but mainly focuses on middle school age children.
