About Bridge House Mens Residential Facilities
Bridge House is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The program is accredited by CARF. It’s a long term residential (IP) treatment for men struggling with a substance use disorder.
The residential program is a three phase program. I like that you will be building up your self worth, as well as recognizing and developing your self worth. You will also learn to accept responsibility for your behaviors. You will be offered services regardless of your ability to pay.
Your first 14-30 days you will be in what they call the intensive stabilization phase. You will spend at least 20 hours per week in recovery focused and medium intensity clinical services.
Your contact with people outside of the house will be limited. This’ll help the staff observe you with outside influences. The time you spend in this phase will be used in gaining insight into your addiction.
Once you complete this portion, you will move on to their primary phase. Although still focused on recovery, this portion of treatment will be low intensity. The program will continue to be structured and you will engage in activities that include individual and group therapy.
During this time, you will learn how to apply recovery skills, promote personal responsibility and relapse prevention. You will also learn skills to reintegrate into the working world and into family life.
When you have neared the ending of your treatment, you will be focusing on transitioning back into the real world. You will be seeking and gaining employment. At this point, you will also pursue vocational training or continue your education.
