About Bridge Family Center
Bridge Family Center is a mental health and counseling provider in West Hartford, Connecticut, serving children, teens, young adults and families throughout the Greater Hartford area. The nonprofit organization offers outpatient counseling, crisis counseling and stabilization and dual diagnosis care for individuals experiencing both mental health and substance use concerns.
The Center was founded in 1969. We like that they focus on accessible, community centered care, with available services regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
Counseling and Mental Health Programs at Bridge Family Center
Individuals and families can receive outpatient counseling services that may include crisis intervention, stabilization support and ongoing therapy for individuals, couples and families. In December 2022, Bridge Family Center expanded its counseling center in West Hartford, creating additional space for group counseling and other therapy services.
It’s good to know that therapy is available both in person and through telehealth appointments. Counseling approaches may include cognitive behavioral therapy and medication management when appropriate. The center provides support for concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges and substance use conditions.
I like that they provide specialized services for young people who are experiencing crisis situations and individuals who have both mental health and substance use concerns.
The center accepts Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and offers sliding scale fees and financial assistance programs when you qualify. Services are offered regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
