About Rushford Center at Meriden
Rushford Center at Meriden is a dual diagnosis outpatient addiction center in Connecticut, for adults (age 18 and older), and teens (ages 13 to 17). As part of Hartford Healthcare, Rushford at Meriden is designated as the local mental health center by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Serving Meriden and Wallingford, the Rushford Center offers crisis intervention, outpatient programs, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and intensive outpatient programs for teens. The teen program is based on the Seven Challenges model, which involves a five day a week after school program for teens with mental health or substance use disorder. The MAT program (MATCH) involves the use of medications, like Suboxone, in combination with behavioral counseling, to reduce cravings and the risk of relapse for people with opioid use disorder.
Services are available in Spanish and English. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, and financial assistance and payment plans are available.
