About Brandywine Counseling & Community Services (BCCS) | Lancaster Avenue

Brandywine Counseling’s Lancaster Avenue Treatment Center is in Wilmington, Delaware. It’s boxed in by three cemeteries and Mack Park. It’s a bit symbolic, and you can work your way towards the park to unwind and relax, rather than the grim alternative due to drugs.

Anyway, Brandywine is one of a few of the organization’s accredited behavioral healthcare locations. This center provides a range of mental and behavioral services, including addiction treatment and dual diagnosis treatment, to adults aged 18 and older. Pregnant individuals will be given priority for services.

Clients here can choose from a specialized opioid treatment program (OTP), an office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) program, as well as standard and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).

Much like medication assisted treatment (MAT), OBOT uses meds like Suboxone and Subutex. However, it’s designed for individuals who are deemed able to self-administer and manage their prescriptions from home, while regularly attending counseling sessions and behavioral therapy.

OBOT, MAT, and other similar programs are ideal for individuals wanting to prioritize holistic care. As they engage in them, clients can address the mental and emotional elements of their addiction and behavioral patterns, while the medication takes care of unwanted physical symptoms like withdrawal and cravings, and lessens their risk of relapse.

This location also features the RISE program. It’s an acronym for Resiliency, Independence, Success, and Empowerment and is designed to support at-risk teens. This is a multi-intervention program that offers concentrated outpatient therapy and support services for teens, while they attend school or work as usual during the day. Support is also offered to their family and caregivers.

Pregnant, post-partum, and parenting women can also access support here through the center’s perinatal program. Birthing partners are also supported here, using specialized behavioral care and case management that prioritizes a safe delivery and home life for both mom and baby.
