About Brandywine Counseling & Community Services — Milford Treatment Center

Brandywine Counseling and Community Center (BCCS) located in Milford, Delaware has been providing substance use and mental health treatment for over forty years. BCCS’ Milford Treatment Center offers services like education, early prevention, women’s services, peer programs, and has a drop in center. They believe in providing a wide range of resources so that every individual can find the path to recovery that works best.

The Milford Treatment Center in addition to outpatient care, provides medicated assisted treatment (MAT) with the use of methadone and suboxone.

I found that the drop in center is a safe space for individuals experiencing homelessness and struggling with addiction and/or mental illness. You can enjoy a hot meal and other accommodations like showers, laundry facilities, and clothing. You can also receive help from members of staff with developing wellness and crisis plans.

About the RISE Program

RISE is an adolescent program created by BCCS to provide support for young adults struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. I appreciate that they support young adults ages 13 to 17. RISE stands for resiliency, independence, success, and empowerment. Clients of the program noted the staff’s friendly and caring staff.

Outpatient services are provided to ensure that you can receive care while living at home and attending to other daily tasks like school or work. RISE also provides support to families and caretakers of young adults to support everyone’s wellness.

RISE is also located close to the Milford Riverwalk which can be a peaceful place to find respite during treatment, and spend time with friends and family.
