About Blue Valley Behavioral Health Beatrice
Blue Valley Behavioral Health in Beatrice, Nebraska, is a private nonprofit that offers behavioral health therapy and mental health services. It’s in a suburban corner that has an actual brick road. The treatments available to help clients with substance abuse disorder include the intensive outpatient program, aftercare, and the youth assistance program.
You can pay for services through Medicaid, private insurance or third party payers. If you meet certain state or federal guidelines, you may be eligible for a sliding fee scale.
The intensive outpatient program accepts adults who are 19 and older and need a higher level of care than outpatient treatment. BVBH will administer a substance abuse evaluation to determine if this level of service is appropriate for you. The program is group focused and will require clients to meet at the facility three times a week for about 9-10 hours. Intensive outpatient services usually will last for six weeks.
BVBH also offers an on demand addictions education course for adults charged with first offense drug or alcohol related crimes or involved with probation. It’s also available to any person interested in learning more about addictions. The course covers issues such as the effects of substance abuse and relapse prevention and meets all of the Nebraska justice system substance abuse education requirements. When you’ve completed the coursework, you’ll receive a certificate within five business days.
Some clients who struggle with substance abuse disorder may also struggle with severe mental illnesses like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. BVBH’s community support program provides clients with case management services to help them improve their daily functioning. Some of the goals you may receive help with are maximizing your independent living, increasing your social involvement or decreasing the frequency of psychiatric hospitalization.
Beatrice is just a 45 minute drive outside of Lincoln, Nebraska, where you’ll find the capitol building. You’ll also find unique attractions like the International Quilt Museum and the Sunken Gardens. There’s also Chautauqua Park nearby if you’d like to unwind and do a little exercise to clear your mind.
