About Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center is located in Ball Ground, Georgia. Men and women who are 18 years and older are able to receive alcohol and drug detox, as well as substance abuse treatment in a residential setting. They’ll also take veterans and active duty military personnel.

What stood out to me about the location is that the facility is on 50 acres. They’re located in a hilly and wooded countryside. This makes for a wonderful intimate setting with treatment focused and tailored to you.

Before you are admitted, an assessment will be done by the addiction admissions counselor. Once you are admitted then the medical team will conduct an evaluation. This will help them determine if you will need to be placed in the detox program or directly into the residential program.

The assessments and evaluations will help the team develop your treatment plan. From day one of your treatment, they will also work on your continuing care plan. This helps everyone remain focused on long term sobriety.

A typical day can include onsite and offsite AA and NA meetings. There’ll be breaks for lunch and recreation, which can include fitness, yoga, and some free time. You’ll also have small group meetings so you can share your experiences and learn from others. There’ll also be 12 Steps and other faith-based programs if needed.

There’s also a wide range of therapies involved. In addition to the usual group and individual meetings, there can be music therapy and talks with family counselors. That way, you have different ways to tackle your triggers. You’ll find a way to recovery that works best for you while addressing different facets of your condition.

They accept a wide range of insurances, including Aetna, Humana, Cigna, and TRICARE-East. They’re also accredited by SAMHSA and NAATP. Unfortunately, they don’t accept Medicaid or Medicare. Check 'em out to make sure they're a good fit for you.
