About TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital

Bethesda Oak Alcohol and Drug Outpatient Treatment was an addiction and mental health treatment facility that has now transferred its services to TriHealth’s Good Samaritan Hospital. The hospital is located in Cincinnati, Ohio and offers the same comprehensive outpatient treatment services for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders as the Bethesda Oaks program.

Clients can pay for services using most major health insurance plans. They accept Medicare and Medicaid and have an income based sliding fee scale for uninsured or underinsured individuals. The treatment facility is just one mile from I-75 so it’s quick to get to, even if you don’t live in Cincy.

Experienced Addiction Treatment Staff

I am impressed that the treatment team is comprised of a staff of which each member has an average of 20 years of experience in the alcohol and drug treatment field. The staff also has the highest levels of credentials available in the field of chemical dependency, and the programs are accredited by The Joint Commission.

The outpatient facility is near Burnet Woods, a 90 acre park notable for the Trailside Nature Center, planetarium, and children’s museum. There’s a lake where you can fish without a permit, a disc golf course, and hiking trails. This is a beautiful place to immerse yourself in nature and reflect on your treatment plan between sessions.

Cutting Edge Addiction Treatment in Cincinnati

The drug treatment program began in 1978. It’s the longest running outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program in the Greater Cincinnati area, but they’ve continued to grow and advance with the times. I think many clients will appreciate that the program offers an alternative to those on a trajectory to lose everything due to substance misuse.

The facility is part of the hospital campus and is ADA accessible. Treatment is individualized and part of the larger healthcare network. Clients can benefit from integrated treatment services, since the hospital provides both medical and addiction treatment services.
