About TriHealth Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program – Good Samaritan Campus
Since 1978, TriHealth has provided alcohol and drug treatment programs to the greater Cincinnati area. At this facility in the Good Samaritan Hospital, you can seek treatment for relief from the difficulties of alcohol and drug dependence. TriHealth utilizes intensive outpatient (IOP) and medication assisted treatment (MAT) to cover a spectrum of needs from their patients.
If you choose to begin your recovery journey with TriHealth, you will want to arrange an assessment with their staff at the Good Samaritan facility. Within three days of contact, you will have your appointment to determine if you need treatment and if so, what your plan will look like. One thing that I thought was notable about this process is that you may be able to submit an assessment from another service provider if it is comparable and a referral relationship exists.
Group and Individual Services for Alcohol and Drug Treatment
Day and evening IOP group services are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Good Samaritan facility. These group sessions focus on early recovery education topics such as disease concept, topics to help develop recovery skills and relapse prevention, structured group counseling to assist with honest processing, and structured assignments that are critical to the recovery process.
You will also meet with an assigned counselor for individualized treatment during this time. Referrals will be arranged as needed for issues that need to be met by outside specialists such as nutrition, mental health, and pain management. The program will run for about six weeks, depending on your progress.
Medication Assisted Treatment with Top Addiction Specialist
If you need MAT for opioid dependency through TriHealth’s IOP, you can explore entering Bethesda’s Intensive Outpatient and Continuing Care program. Medical Director Raymond Hellmann, who has been recognized as a top internal medicine addiction specialist in Cincinnati, utilizes Suboxone for TriHealth’s MAT program.
While in treatment, you will have ample opportunity to explore the offerings of Cincinnati. I really appreciate that attractions such as the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens as well as the Burnet Woods Park have beautiful sights and peaceful environments that can be conducive to the recovery process and can be integrated into your program.
