About Bethel Colony of Mercy
Bethel Colony of Mercy is a Christian-focused substance abuse program in Lenoir, North Carolina. They have a separate men's and women's campus where they help adults find victory over addiction through the Bible and Jesus Christ. The residential program is 65 days long.
There’s an entry fee that residents must pay the day they are admitted. Other than that, the program is completely free for participants.
This program is made up of classroom sessions, workbooks, audio tapes, counseling, work therapy and worship services. The foundation for this program is allowing Jesus Christ to empower individuals to conquer addiction.
The men's campus is a complex of modest buildings surrounded by Blue Ridge Mountains. The campus includes a gym and weight room, student dorms and recreation areas. in the Buffalo Cove area, is the women's campus. There are buildings and cabins in the grassy Mountain Valley. Residents live in cabins with an onsite administrative office, gym, weight room and recreation area.
While this program does not offer cutting edge technology or programs, it has helped thousands of individuals recover from alcohol and drug addictions. Bethel's program gives residents a structured schedule, a sober environment, nutritious food and peer support. Residents help maintain the facilities, including upkeep of the grounds and building projects.
You'll participate in daily Bible classes, one-on-one discipleship coaching, homework assignments and audio and video spiritual messages. Each day you'll have a work assignment that's based on your physical ability and skills. This will teach you responsibility and stewardship and help you develop a sense of accomplishment.
All students must be sober and drug free for at least 7 days before arrival. They must be willing to commit to the full 65 days and cooperate with all the rules.
